About this file

This is a Question and Answer (Q&A) Form documenting industry inquiries and Government responses for the NSST Spares solicitation (N6134026R0005).

The form addresses three substantive questions from potential offerors. First, regarding EVGA graphics cards (part number 10GP53885KR), the Government clarified that exact vendor and part number specifications must be met; substitute cards from alternative vendors with equivalent performance are not acceptable. Second, concerning Buffalo storage equipment where the TS6400 model is end-of-life, the Government approved the alternative TS5420RN3204 model, contingent on meeting specific technical requirements: rack-mountable configuration, 1U form factor, and 4-bay capacity. Third, an offeror inquired whether this represents a new contract or if an incumbent contractor exists; the Government confirmed this is a new requirement with no predecessor contract. The form template includes sections for additional questions (rows 4-7) but these remain incomplete, indicating the Q&A period was still open at the time this document was generated. Amendment 0002 extended the proposal due date to March 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM EST.

2Regarding the EVGA Cards, is the customer willing to take a different vendor than on the list but FFF/performance remain the same? Like EVGA 3080 becoming a 4070 or 4080 from PNY as an example? Please advise. Thank you for your help. No, the EVGA must be the exact card. The gov't will not take a different vendor or part number.
3This is regarding your RFQ from sam.gov (SAM-N6134026R0005). Particularly for Buffalo

Per vendor: TS6400 is EOL. lmk if they want to look at TS5420 series replacement.

Please confirm so we can request the alternative right away.Yes, but needs to be this exact match: TS5420RN3204 Needs to be rack mountable, 1U, and 4 bay in from factor.
4We would like to know if this is a brand new contract OR if there is (was)

an incumbent performing these services.

If not brand new, could you please provide the current / previous contract number?

Appreciate any insight you can provide.Yes, this is a new requirement.
