About this file

This document contains questions and answers related to a solicitation for the overhaul and inspection of Barge YD 255. The solicitation seeks services including managing hazardous wastes, inspecting and repairing the underwater hull and freeboard, voids, main deck, vehicle lashing sockets, watertight hatches, bumpers, and handrail assembly. It also requires exterior nonskid and deck preservation, installation of hull zinc anodes, barge towing services, cleaning and pumping, providing a government office space, dry-docking, and undocking the barge. The questions clarify the scope of work items, request changes to surface preparation requirements and non-destructive testing levels, and seek manufacturer information for replacement of an obsolete bilge pump. The Navy is the contracting agency, with responses to be directed to Ms. Victoria Buela for any questions requiring drawings.
