CONTINUATION SHEET

1. QUESTION: Please clarify the required phasing, access windows, and turnover durations for work in occupied BEQ areas. The Scope of Work states that approximately one-quarter of the work areas will be available for paint at any given time and that the contractor must coordinate scheduling with the building point of contact. The Scope also requires the contractor to remove/reset furniture and, where needed, provide on-site storage. Section 09 65 00 further requires flooring application to be scheduled after completion of other work that could damage finished surfaces. Please confirm the anticipated sequencing by building/area, allowable working hours, room turnover expectations, and whether similar quartering/phasing limits apply to flooring work as well as painting; as well as the intent to allow the contractor to perform work in all 5 buildings concurrently.

ANSWER: Contractor can work on multiple BEQs included in this project simultaneously.

There will be a minimum of 10 rooms available for repairs at each BEQ. Complete 10 rooms in 30 days. Contractor will be responsible for moving furniture or other items impeding work areas.

2. QUESTION: Please clarify the extent of substrate preparation to be included in the base bid after removal of existing flooring and adhesives. The Scope of Work requires all flooring surfaces to be free of all previous adhesives prior to installation and requires sealing LVT surfaces prior to new flooring installation. Section 09 65 00 requires substrate conditions to be examined and reported, with no corrective action taken without written Government permission, and requires surface-preparation materials as recommended by the manufacturer. Section 09 68 00 similarly requires repair of holes, cracks, depressions, and rough areas. Please confirm what level of patching, crack repair, leveling, and adhesive-residue removal is intended to be included in the bid versus treated as a changed condition if unsuitable substrate conditions are encountered.

ANSWER: All products are to be installed per government finish spec. and manufacturer’s installation requirements.

3. QUESTION: Are the existing dorm room ceilings to be painted? Are these drywall or exposed structure?

ANSWER: Paint all previously painted surfaces.

N40085-26-R-9054 Amendment 0006

4. QUESTION: There are numerous mentions in nearly every sub-paragraph of the Scope of Work General Requirements of "shall be noted below in the project area description."

Where is this "project area description"? Without this information, it is impossible for all (7) of the MACC GC's to bid at the same level.

ANSWER:

b. Building M435 is a BEQ located on Company St. B at Mainside Camp Lejeune

c. Building M446 is a BEQ located on Company St. B at Mainside Camp Lejeune

d. Building M447 is a BEQ located on Company St. B at. Mainside Camp Lejeune.

5. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
