About this file

This document is a Notice and Request for Information (RFI) Questions and Responses for a federal procurement solicitation issued by the Department of the Navy.

The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Far East is procuring a medium rescue vehicle through RFQ N40084-26-Q-1024. The solicitation was issued on 16 September 2026 and is distributed to the Department of Defense (DoW) community only. The RFI responses clarify that this is an actual tender rather than a budget estimation request. Potential offerors raised concerns regarding incomplete cabin specifications and the tight bidding timeline. In response, the government indicated that revised specifications for the cabin would be provided in a forthcoming solicitation amendment and confirmed that extending the bidding deadline to October 5th is acceptable. All amendments will be issued via Standard Form 30. The document notes that the schedule provided is for information purposes only and does not constitute a modification to the underlying RFQ unless formally amended in writing.
