The following have been added by full text:

AMENDMENT 0001

N4008422R0051 INDEFINITE DELIVERY/INDEFINITE QUANTITY (IDIQ) CONTRACT FOR

PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SERVICES FOR U.S FIRE APPARATUS AND

TRUCKS AT U.S NAVY REGION, JAPAN

Solicitation Number: N40084-22-R-0051 Amendment 0001

The purpose of this amendment is to:

1. Provide the revised Performance Work Statement (PWS). This replaces all previous versions in its entirety, Encl. (1)

2. Provide responses to submitted Pre-Proposal Inquiries (PPI)s as follows:

No. Questions Responses 1 Should we assume a one-year regular inspection as the preventive maintenance inspections?

Yes, 35 units of inventory listed will require the Preventative Maintenance Inspection (PMI) annually.

2 Since there is the total working times 1000 hours for 35 units in PWS, Is it supposed to be about 28 hours preventive maintenance inspections (PMI) per unit?

No, 1,000 hours are not in reference to PMI but the Non- Recurring work in accordance with Attachment J-0200000-

08. Each (base and option) period will have RECURRING and NON-RECURRING Line Item(s). The Recurring work will include the annual PMI and Repair services, unit price will be for one (1) month cost of labor and materials. Non Recurring Work is for any labor, materials, or travel cost in excess of the Recurring work.

3 Do you have a deadline for all 35 units to be inspected?

35 units must have completed inspection by the end of the period of performance of the current base or option period.

For example, if the contract ends on the calendar year:

- All 35 units shall be inspected by NLT 31 December of each year

4 Will this contract result in PMI work for 35 units every year after the second year?

35 units of inventory listed will undergo PMI annually.

5 Is the bidding only for the hourly labor rate?

Are there any other pricing to decide?

Should we include the PMI spareparts cost into the hourly labor rate?

No, bidding is for monthly cost of recurring work (inspection and repair), and hourly cost of non-recurring labor. The cost of spare parts under this contract should be included in the monthly cost recurring work.

6 If a defect is found on the unit and should be repaired, is the hourly rate for the work the same as the above rate, or is it adjusted separately?

The cost of spare parts at this work is uncertain, but is it okay to make a separate quotation each time?

Repairs under Recurring Work will be included in the monthly cost. Work in excess of 16 estimated flat rate hours and $2,500 of total direct materials costs may be ordered under the Non-Recurring Work portion of the contract.

3. The due date for proposals remain unchanged.

4. All other provisions and terms remain unchanged.

Enclosures:

(1) PWS for US Fire Apparatus PM Repair Contract -20Apr2022

(End of Summary of Changes)

7 If we work by 2 engineers, Can we invoice you the doubled hourly labor rate?

If proposed work exceeds Recurring work quantity, the Unit Priced Labor for Non-Recurring work is for one mechanic in J-0200000-08. The quantity of hours and number of mechanics for Unit Labor work will be negotiated with the Contracting Officer before work begins.

8 Is Bid date May 19, 2022? Are there any documents which we should submit on 19th May?

Proposal due date is May 19, 2022 at 14:00 Japan Standard Time (JST). Document SF 1449 N4008422R0051, Instructions to Offerors, 3. Proposal Format goes in-depth on requirements to submit proposal.

9 Regarding PWS documents, Where does it include “Section G”?

Please remove all reference to Section G in PWS. Due to usage of Solicitation form SF1449 for Commercial Items and Services, formatting will not include this section. Invoicing information can instead be found in "SF 1449 N4008422R0051" under Additional Information, Paragraph 7 and 8, as well as clause 252.232-7006.
