QUESTION GOVERNMENT RESPONSE

1 DWG #E-001,

General Notes #11

It is indicated that contractor shall assume all existing secondary unit substations, panelboards, boxes, conduits, busways, devices and accessories contain LBP.

However, we checked the actual conditions and found that conduits were plating finish and the surfaces were not painted.

May we exclude conduits from scope of LBP removal work?

In order to confirm that exiting devices/equipment do not contain LBP at all, site surveys throughout existing facilities and samplings are required.

However, we still cannot rule out the possibilities to miss unforeseen LBPs. Therefore, in order to protect contractors and public from unexpected exposures of LBPs, please assume that all existing devices/equipment contain LBP as required.
