About this file

This document is an amendment to a solicitation for renovation work at multiple buildings at a naval facility. The solicitation is for replacing fire alarm systems in seven buildings and requires work to be done while the buildings remain operational. Only small businesses in the local region serving the district offices of DC, Richmond, VA or Baltimore, MD are eligible to bid. A mandatory site visit will be held on June 17, 2020 with attendance limited to two people per company due to COVID-19 guidelines. Bids are due by July 9, 2020 and the work includes demolishing existing fire alarm systems and installing new systems according to all applicable codes.

The amendment provides additional COVID-19 safety requirements including limiting site visit attendance and requiring masks. It also modifies instructions to bidders regarding the 100% small business set aside and details for the site visit including vetting form deadlines and points of contact. Submission requirements are outlined specifying inclusion of standard forms, pricing details, signed amendments and representations in SAM along with bid guarantees and copies of bids.
