About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) related to a Navy tank inspection contract. The RFI provides details about interview processes, inspection qualifications, and contract specifications. The tank inspection program covers over 620 Navy tanks worldwide, with approximately 100 tanks to be inspected annually. Key personnel qualifications include a U.S. licensed Professional Engineer as Project Manager, NACE/SSPC/API certified inspectors for various roles including Competent Person, Water Tank Inspector/Evaluator, and ROV Operator, each requiring a minimum of three years of specialized experience and specific safety training certifications.
The procurement is a general small business set-aside under NAICS code 541330 Engineering Services, with no preference for specific socio-economic business types. The selection process will focus on the most highly qualified firm, with candidates required to demonstrate professional qualifications including technical certifications, years of experience in water tank inspections, and various safety training credentials. Interviews can be conducted either in-person or virtually, depending on availability and the Contracting Officer's discretion. The firms selected for interviews will be notified of the Government's preferred interview format.
