About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for contract number N3904026Q4761, specifically addressing calibration service requirements. The Q&A details three levels of calibration service: (1) Traceable Calibration - Level 1, which uses NIST traceable standards and provides full data only if an instrument is out of tolerance; (2) Traceable Calibration with Data - Level 2 (Z540), which complies with ANSI Z540-1-1994 and records full data on the certificate; and (3) Accredited Calibration - Level 3, which is conducted according to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 within the scope of accreditation, includes full data reporting, uncertainty calculations, and an Accredited Logo. The response definitively states that Level 3 calibration is the only acceptable service level for this contract.
