Register of Wage Determinations Under the Service Contract Act
This document is a wage determination register issued by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment Standards Administration for service contracts in California Counties of San Diego, effective through May 13, 2026 (Wage Determination No. 2015-5635, Revision 30).
The register establishes prevailing wage rates for over 200 occupation classifications across multiple occupational families including administrative support, food preparation, automotive service, furniture maintenance, health occupations, information technology, instructional occupations, mechanics and maintenance, plant and system operations, protective services, recreation, stevedoring, and technical occupations. Wage rates range from $15.95 to $63.99 per hour depending on classification level and experience. All listed occupations receive health and welfare benefits of $5.55 per hour (up to 40 hours per week or $222.00 weekly/$962.00 monthly) or $5.89 per hour under Executive Order 13786 ($283.60 weekly/$882.27 monthly). Employees receive paid vacation accrual of 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, and 4 weeks after 15 years; eleven paid holidays annually; and prevailing wage rates apply to all hours worked. Special provisions address hazardous pay differentials (4-8 percent), uniform allowances, night pay and Sunday premiums for air traffic controllers and weather observers, and exempt computer professional classifications requiring specific duty criteria. The determination applies to all Service Contract Act-covered contracts awarded on or after January 1, 2015, with conformance procedures outlined for unlisted occupations requiring submission of SF-1444 forms to the Department of Labor for classification approval.
