SCIF QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
1. I have a question regarding this Request for Quotation (RFQ). I wanted to confirm if the maintenance outlined in this RFQ applies to all the equipment listed in Section 6 of the Statement of Work (SOW) RESPONSE: Expectations: The contractor would be expected to repair, replace, and maintain equipage installed as part of the IDS/AECS - including BMS, components of the AECS, all cabling and interconnections associated with the Head End Equipage and Unbreakable Power Supply, the motion detectors, the video camera installed in the “man-trap”, room 105, and the cabling and monitor associated with that video camera.
Yes.
2. Additionally, would it be possible to obtain a floor plan of the space, specifically detailing all the rooms within the SCIF?
RESPONSE: The project provides 1,500 GSF SCIF on the first floor of Bldg. SP-64. 950 NSF of this space consists of employee work stations and printer area (Room 104); 300 NSF conference room, (106); 100 NSF is the network space (107), and the remainder consists of one 100 NSF office space (Room 105), hallways, entranceways, etc. This project consists of architectural, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, physical security system, and electrical upgrades to meet specifications and operational requirements.
3. Does the IDS system require UL 2050 certification? I understand the DMP system was installed to UL2050 standards but does it need to be certified? The maintenance company would need to hold the UL certs if this is the case. It's a UL requirement.
RESPONSE: The contractor will annually inspect the accredited UL-2050 SCIF Intrusion Detection System, its installed battery, and its automated electronic access control system (AECS), ensuring the system meets Underwriter Laboratory- 2050 Standard, and issuing the appropriate waiver letter to Headquarters Military Sealift Command for lack of fiber optic connectivity to base dispatch until the fiber hub is installed at Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads. The purpose of the MSC HQ IDS Single Award Contract (SAC) is to provide an accredited Access Control System IDS.
Yes.
