QUESTION 1:
Specification Item No 0003, paragraph / Section M, Subfactor 2.3, 7.4, Trim & Stability Booklet and Arrival Conditions - Ship’s new expected arrival draft is 9.5 meters. Please disregard expected arrival draft of 8.2 meters as stated in enclosure 2.2.2 of work item 0003. ESB-5 Trim and Stability Booklet (DWG 8468192) provided.
Contractor was previously prepared for vessel arrival at the expected draft of 8.2 meters. The vessels new expected arrival draft is now at 9.5 meters.
The original expected arrival draft of 8.2 meters was inline with the berthing of the Monford Point and the anticipated berthing of the John Glen by providing 3 feet of clearance from facility sounding survey depth., This contractor would have to dredge beyond our current permit unless this requirement can be revised back to the 8.2 meters as expected and noted in the original specification.
Please advise if can be accomplished as other Like Class vessels have done.
