SUMMARY OF CHANGES (REVISED)
SUMMARY OF CHANGES
1. The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions from protential offerors.
2. The following questions and answers are provided:
Q1) Can we provide a proposal for all or just part of the request; if we submit a proposal for one container will that bid be considered for award?
A1) No, the Government has requested that the proposal be submitted with all containers being priced. If a proposal is submitted with pricing for only one container, that proposal will not be considered for award.
Q2) Would it be possible to get the past performance questionnaire in MS Word?
A2) No, the Government provided the past performance questionnaire in PDF. No other format will be provided.
Q3) Are the CLINs for the FA (CLIN 0001, 0006, 0011, 0016, and 0021) for the FA price of the three (3) boxes only (MK-792, MK-812, and MK-833) or for any weapons' containers for that year (base/option) including any new container variants incorporated by DO? -- If these CLINs include all future container variants FA costs, are these
CLINS "placeholders" for the FA costs and proposing contractors just need to use that MAX amount as the amount for those FA CLIN prices?
A3) The FA CLINS referenced in the question are for the three weapon containers and for any new variants or containers later identified under the “undetermined” CLIN 0005 and its corresponding option year CLINs. These
CLINs are placeholders for costs Not to Exceed the amount specified on those CLINs.
Q4) Have solicitations been released before with the requirement of quoting FOB Destination without having “Ship
To” locations and specific quantities until time of order? Quoting FOB Destination requires including the shipping cost in the unit price of the container. Without knowing where the containers will be shipped makes it difficult to provide an accurate cost.
A4) Yes, solicitations like this have been released before. However, the Government has determined that potential offerors may submit FOB Destination proposals to the address below, understanding that the address is subject to change for each delivery order.
