About this file
This document is a modification to a solicitation for worldwide undersea search and salvage operations in support of the Director of Ocean Engineering, Supervisor of Salvage and Diving (SUPSALV). The Naval Sea Systems Command is seeking to operate, store, and maintain SUPSALV search, salvage, and rescue assets including remotely operated vehicles, side scan sonar systems, and towed pinger locator equipment. Offerors may also provide commercial search, salvage, and rescue equipment to supplement SUPSALV assets as well as engineering, technical, and software services related to ocean engineering and undersea systems. This modification answers additional questions from bidders regarding page limits for front matter and numbering requirements for volumes. A table of contents and acronym list will not count toward page limits, and offerors must number paragraphs based on volume sections rather than altering the statement of work.

Revised Summary of Changes
The following text has been added:
21. Question:
Reference: RFP p. 81, Section L, Subsection 4.0
The RFP has no specific directives regarding page limitation on front matter (i.e. Table of
Content; Acronyms List). It is our understanding that such front matter does not count towards the page limits. Please confirm.
Answer: A table of contents and definitions/acronyms do not count towards the page limit set forth. No narrative information subject to page limits in Volume III should be included in the table of contents and/or acronym list.
22. Question:
Reference: RFP p. 76, Section L, Subsection 1.1
Paragraph 1 states: "...All volume pages and paragraphs shall be numbered so its location is traceable to the appropriate volume and page."
Considering this statement, and regarding Volume I, Is the intent for us to alter the SOW document issued by the government, so we are able to number each paragraph on the RFP as instructed?"
On the same note, in regard to Volume III and Volume IV due to the limited page numbers allowed and numbering paragraphs, limiting them further - Would the government accept us numbering the pages and section/sub headers for traceability as opposed to all paragraphs?
Answer: The offeror does not need to alter the SOW. Paragraphs should be numbered based on the Volume III and IV sections listed in Tables 4 (p.81) and 6 (p.86) and any subsections the offeror deems necessary. The Government maintains the need for each paragraph to be numbered.
