Government Furnished Property

Due to the complexity of the systems provided as Government Furnished Property (GFP), only a brief description is provided herein. All of the equipment and technical documentation will be made available for inspection by appointment.

Mini-ROV – SUPSALV maintains a mini-ROV to conduct underwater investigations and support diver operations to a depth of 1,000’. This system has a scanning sonar, camera, lights, compass and thrusters for propulsion. A 5-axis claw is mounted on the ROV and can be used to grab and hold small objects. Two (2) personnel from a small boat can deploy the mini-ROV, which is currently a COTS Seaeye Falcon. The mini-ROV system will be stored at the Contractor furnished facilities supplied under this contract, if ordered.

Shallow Water Side Scan Systems (SWISS) – SUPSALV maintains two (2) side scan sonar systems based on Klein-3000 towfish that are capable to depths of 8,000’ utilizing a 22,000’ fiber optic cable deployed from an electro-hydraulic winch. Deck equipment includes a fixed A-frame, control and support van, spares boxes, hydraulic power supply and a cable level wind and winch. It is anticipated that two (2)

SWISS will be stored at the Contractor furnished facilities supplied under this contract, if ordered.

Towed Pinger Locators (TPL) – The SUPSALV TPLs are custom highly transportable systems used for localizing acoustic beacons such as the 37.5 kHz markers used on commercial and military aircraft.

SUPSALV maintains three (3) TPL systems that include a shallow water handheld unit, and two (2) deep water systems. The systems include a tow fish, operators console for the shallow water system, and an electro-hydraulic winch for the deep-water systems. TPLs are designed to operate on a variety of cables including side scan sonar cable and coaxial oceanographic cable. Maximum depth for the tow fish is

20,000’. It is anticipated that the TPL systems will be stored at the Contractor furnished facilities supplied under this contract, if ordered.

Deep Drone – The SUPSALV Deep Drone is a custom designed ROV capable of working to a depth of

8,000-ft. The vehicle is open frame construction equipped with a CTFM long-range search sonar and a high-resolution short-range sonar, HD video cameras, two (2) seven function hydraulic manipulators, electric and hydraulic thrusters. The vehicle is capable of a through frame lift. The vehicle utilizes a PLC based control system with various sensors for command, control and tracking. A low vehicle acoustic noise signature aids in navigation by use of either an ultra-short baseline acoustic navigation system. Topside equipment includes a cable handling system, electric generator, control van and ancillary support vans. It is anticipated that Deep Drone will be stored at the Contractor furnished facilities supplied under this contract, if ordered.

CURV 21 – The SUPSALV CURV 21 is a custom designed ROV capable of operating to a depth of

20,000-ft. Some unique design features include electric thrusters and motor controllers, and a circulating cooling system on the vehicle to dissipate motor controller heat. The vehicle is equipped with CTFM long range search sonar and high-resolution short-range sonar, HD video cameras, and two (2) seven function hydraulic manipulators. The vehicle is capable of a through frame lift. A low vehicle acoustic noise signature aids in navigation by ultra-short baseline acoustic navigation system. The system includes topside equipment, umbilical, traction winch, and control van. It is anticipated that CURV 21 will be stored at the

Contractor furnished facilities supplied under this contract, if ordered.

HYDROS – The SUPSALV HYDROS is a custom designed ROV capable of operating to a depth of

5000 ft. The system is designed as a lightweight fly away, quick mobilization, small footprint 60-hp ROV system. The vehicle is equipped with a high-resolution short-range sonar, HD video cameras. A PLC telemetry system is utilized for component ease of integration. The vehicle has two (2) seven function manipulators and 6 hydraulic thrusters. The vehicle is capable of a through frame lift. HYDROS is a composite material open frame design. An aluminum handling system Sea Horse One is used for launch/ recovery and cable management. An operations van, rigging van and PDU (power distribution unit) complete the system. It is anticipated that the HYDROS system will be stored at the Contractor furnished facilities supplied under this contract, if ordered.

Trondheim - The SUPSALV HUGIN 6000 is a Kongsberg Maritime designed AUV capable of operating to a depth of 20,000-ft. The AUV is a stable data collections platform with synthetic aperture sonar, multi-beam bathymetry, and sub-bottom profiling sonars, as well as still photography, laser line scanning and magnetic survey. The AUV performs large area sonar search missions and then identification of targets through photo missions to depths of 20,000-ft and can be deployed independently or simultaneously to the same vessel with any SUPSALV ROV to perform a joint, single phased operation for both search & recovery. It is anticipated that HUGIN 6000 will be stored at the Contractor furnished facilities supplied under this contract, if ordered.

IVER3 – The Iver3-580 AUV is an 85 lbs. 100 meter depth rated autonomous vehicle capable of side-scan sonar searches with ranges of over 100 meters per side. The vehicle, which is about 84” long (with the 12” extended payload), has an endurance of 8 to 14 hours at a survey speed of 2.5 knots and a maximum speed of 4 knots. In its current configuration, it is fitted with a Benthos acoustic communications and tracking system, Iridium, navigation LEDs (visible and Infrared) 802.11n Wi-Fi, and GPS. The Iver is fitted with an

RDI Doppler Velocity Log (DVL) and powered by 800 watt-hours of lithium ion batteries. The existing vehicle payload is an IcListen smart hydrophone designed to detect acoustic beacons with frequencies ranging from 0 to 100 kHz. It is anticipated that the IVER3 system will be stored at the Contractor furnished facilities supplied under this contract, if ordered.

35-T Grove Mobile Crane – The SUPSALV Grove mobile crane is part of the Undersea Ops program and used to facilitate rapid emergency system mobilization. It must be maintained and operated under both

OSAH and NAVFAC P-307 standards. It is anticipated that the 35-T Grove Mobile Crane will be stored at the Contractor furnished facilities supplied under this contract to support rapid response, if ordered.
