About this file

This notice provides details for a future competitive request for proposal to acquire expeditionary 11-meter rigid inflatable boats. The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a small business set-aside solicitation during the third quarter of fiscal year 2018 seeking firm fixed price proposals to supply an estimated 48 boats over five years. The boats will support explosive ordnance disposal mine countermeasure platoons conducting very shallow water operations using the MK 18 unmanned underwater vehicle family of systems. Configurations will include a vehicle launch and recovery system for two MK 18 Mod 2 UUVs and an aft deck for stowage and deployment of combat rubber raiding craft. The government will procure new hull, deck and console molds/tooling as part of this acquisition for use as furnished equipment on future buys.
