About this file
This is a memorandum from the Department of the Air Force, 14th Flying Training Wing (AETC) at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi, dated 3 July 2024, establishing mandatory Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) safeguarding procedures for all contractors and subcontractors at any tier.
The memorandum implements and enforces CUI protection requirements consistent with FAR 4.19, FAR Clause 52.204-2, and Executive Order 13556. All contractors with access to CUI materials must complete mandatory DoD CUI training from MyLearning before accessing CUI or within 30 days of assignment to Columbus AFB; training documentation shall be attached to solicitation postings on Government Point of Entry (GPE) systems. Prior to receiving any contract or contract materials classified as CUI, contractors must sign and return this memorandum as acknowledgment of training completion. Contractors and subcontractors must notify the Contracting Officer of any improper CUI disclosure within 72 hours. Failure to comply with CUI safeguarding requirements subjects contractors to recourse determined by the 14th Contracting Squadron and Columbus AFB Wing Information Protection Officer, including mandatory CUI training retaking, debarment from base, or possible contract termination. The memorandum requires contractor signature, company name, employee name, and date on the signature page and includes an attachment for Contractor Initial CUI Training documentation.
