About this file
This file contains mastication unit maps for the Triangle Uplands project issued by the State of Utah Division of Purchasing on behalf of the Wildlife Resources agency. The project involves mastication treatments of pinyon/juniper vegetation across a base acreage of 1,100.3 acres with an optional 527.1 acres located in the Triangle Uplands in Grand County. Work is scheduled for two periods: November 1st, 2026 through February 28th, 2027, and August 1st, 2027 through September 28th, 2027, with no work permitted between March 1st, 2027 and July 31st, 2027 due to wildlife restrictions. The treatment goal is to restore units to a mosaic pattern of varying densities with scattered untreated leave islands using bullhog-type equipment for tree removal. No mandatory site visit will be held prior to bidding; however, potential bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect the site independently. Participation is limited to prequalified contractors on the current pre-approved vendor list, and a single contract award is anticipated to the lowest cost responsive and responsible bidder.
The total project budget is $721,079 for all acres, and vendors must guarantee pricing through project completion. The procurement represents an Invitation for Bid (IFB) with award anticipated to result in a single contract to the lowest responsive and responsible vendor. Bidders are responsible for satisfying themselves regarding general and local conditions affecting performance costs, and failure to inspect the site shall not constitute grounds for claims after contract award.
