About this file

This is a Shipping Specifications document from the Massachusetts WIC Program detailing delivery requirements to the Northborough Distribution Center. The document establishes operational guidelines for vendors shipping products to the state WIC program's distribution facility located at 35 Lyman Street, Northborough, MA 01532. Shipments are accepted for delivery Tuesday through Friday between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. Vendors are required to provide advance shipping notice to WICDeliveries@MassMail.State.MA.US and must include delivery date, number of cartons or pallets, purchase order number, and item description. Each purchase order requires a separate packing list with complete shipment information including ship-to and ship-from addresses, quantity, carton and pallet counts, and total weight.

The freight terms specify that all shipments must be Free on Board (FOB) destination with freight pre-paid by the vendor. Shipments of 10 cartons or 200 pounds or less meeting FedEx or UPS ground guidelines should use those carriers, while larger orders exceeding 10 boxes and 200 pounds must be palletized. Individual cartons cannot exceed 30 pounds, and all containers must be clearly labeled with form number, product description, language designation, and carton sequencing (e.g., 1 of 6). Palletized loads must use Grade A GMA four-way pallets measuring 48 inches long by 40 inches wide with a maximum weight of 2,000 pounds per pallet. All cartons must have labels facing outward and be securely shrink-wrapped to the pallet. Non-compliance with these specifications will result in products being returned at the vendor's expense.
