#QUESTIONSANSWERS
Is the material for the MC base lawyer in Coyote 498 going to be furnished through the government or sourced commercially? No, the government will not be providing Government Furnished Material for this procurement.
Does the government have a preferred provider? No, the government does not have a preferred provider.
Regarding the statement of delivery of 25 sets for PPV within 30 days of award and up to 6,000 units 60 days after approval of PPV. We have a quote for the material that has a 10 week lead time. Is this timeframe negotiable?Offerors proposals shall state if they can meet the required Pre Production Validation (PPV), and production delivery dates, quantities, and production rates.
I would like to inquire if you could share the incumbent information and previously awarded contract number. This is a new design/requirement, therefore the government does not have an incumbent to reference.
When we responded to the RFI on the MC Extreme Weather Base Layer we identified a material, flat back mesh SP-FBM-4.0. Now that the RFQ has been issued we can't seem to decipher which material will be required for this project. That is, which material the Marine Corps wants these items produced with. Can you offer any guidance on this issue? Has a material been picked? Where can we source it for PDMs?No, the Government has not picked the material. The Governement does not have a recommended source of supply.
Is there specified fiber content for the mesh, jersey and rib knit? Or as long as the fabric conforms to the specified requirements listed on the Tech Packs, you are open to various options? There is not a particular fiber content required except that it needs to meet the material properties requirements (open hole mesh structure, 1 x 1 rib etc.) Yes, the government is open to options that meet or exceed the specified requirements in the Tech Pack.
Would you all consider a proposal from two different agencies, one offering on the tops and the other on the bottoms. In accordance with the terms of the solicitation, the offeror shall submit a price proposal using the Proposal Submission Form for all Contract Line Item Numbers. Furthermore, the Offeror shall provide a technical proposal that satisifies the Statement of Work and Table 2, Technical Proposal Criteria, in solicitation Attachment 004.
The tests provided by the vendor show the stretch requirements being right on target. Can this requirement be more flexible? There is an established stretch requirement. Proposals will be evaluated on meeting or exceeding the requirement.
There’s a requirement of 6 sets to be submitted with the solicitation. Does the customer have available fabric to produce these? Or should we use similar materials? Please see response to question 1. The material in the PDMs should be the same fabric as the proposed production fabric.
The Tech packets have material specs, but no specific material/supplier picked. Is there a specific material for this solicitation? No, the Government did not specify a material/supplier for this proposal. The materials selected need to meet the performance characteristics in the tech pack
