DRAFT
Sample Task Order For
Tactical Service Oriented Architecture (TSOA) Core Connector
1. Introduction The activities identified in this Sample Task Order are to be used as part of the Proposal Evaluation Process for the MAGTF C2 Software Maintenance Support and Software Technical and Development Support Request for Proposal, and may be used as a future Task Order.
2. Scope
This Sample Task Order is for the Offeror to describe and/or define their approach for creating a TSOA “Core Connector”. The goal will be to develop a Connector that can be utilized by third party software developers to extend the capability of TSOA. The MC2SA PWS will govern the execution of this software development task.
The goal would enable this capability by supporting the following methods:
• A method to add new data sources utilizing the SOI Admin Graphical User Interface;
• A second method which would allow for the same or more configuration settings via an JSON (preferred), or XML configuration file;
• The last method envisioned would be through a Software Development Kit (SDK)
3. Background TSOA Connectors are utilized to connect various Tactical Data Systems (TDS) to the Service Oriented Infrastructure. The connectors are the mechanisms which allow for information exchange between various Authoritative Data Sources through TSOA. The goal of TSOA is to allow the rapid extension of capability via the connectors. However the creation of connectors can also increase technical complexity if a single connector attempts to establish too many external interfaces.
4. Requirement
The Offeror shall describe their approach to executing the development of a CORE Connector that will support the goals defined in paragraph 2 above while addressing the complexity vice cost trade-offs.
