Questions/Discussion
T-WMS Objectives Decrease the number of Marine Corps warehouse management systems and applications Streamline, modernize and automate Marine Corps warehouse management business processes (Receipt, Stow, Inventory, Pick, Pack and Ship of items) for the Supply Management Units (SMUs,) Reparable Issue Points (RIPs), Initial Issue Provisioning (IIP) locations, Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES), and Using Units (UUs) Provide Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) commanders and staffs with dependable, accurate, and timely warehouse information Serve as a capability integration platform (CIP) that supports expansion to Enterprise Warehouse Management (e.g., LOGCOM and additional classes of supply) and other key logistics business processes as part of the modernization of logistics IT systems
T-WMS Scope Enterprise Warehouse Management
Tactical-Warehouse Management System Using Unit
MARFORRES
Depot Inventory Control Point (ICP) Remote Storage Activity (RSA) Supply Management Unit (SMU) Reparable Issue Point (RIP) Initial Issue Provisioning (IIP)
The MAGTF commander must plan and coordinate tactical logistics within the MAGTF and coordinate with higher headquarters for the operational-level logistic support necessary to sustain MAGTF operations. Subordinate element commanders are responsible for the efficient employment of organic logistic capabilities, while the combat service support element (CSSE) commander is also responsible for executing CSS operations in support of the entire MAGTF.
MAGTF Distribution Operations All elements of the MAGTF execute tactical logistics to some degree by employing organic capabilities. The initial source of logistic support available to any unit is its own organic capabilities.
As the objective is secured during the amphibious operation, the general offload process begins. This offload process is necessary to allow for the stationing of supplies closer to the consumer. This in turn allows for a faster response time to consumer’s needs. Certain units are placed ashore to ensure that the offload site is efficiently and properly organized for offload, storage, flow of requests, and the distribution of supplies.
Supply Distribution. The shore party team or Helicopter Support Team (HST) receives the supplies and distributes them to the user. Delivery by helicopter can be direct from the ship or from the beach if landing craft brought the item ashore.

Potential Capability Integration Platform (CIP) Attributes Deployable - provides a stand-alone, disconnected instance virtually hosted on existing MAGTF servers or client computing hardware while ashore or afloat Scalable – scalable to the number of simultaneous user requirements and computing hardware available for the echelon of warehouse management being supported Extensible - built using a layered, open architecture allowing for integration of additional technologies (e.g., commercial-off-the-shelf software, peripheral devices, software platforms) using an application integration capability or open standards Discoverable Data - ensures T-WMS data is governed, exposed, and discoverable Third Party Development - allows third party vendors and government Business Unit IT Organizations to develop additional capabilities through coding or configuration via the following patterns:
Utilize the underlying technology platform capabilities (e.g. Software Development Kit, Application Programming Interface…) in garrison (development and production) and while deployed (configuration and production) Access to T-WMS data through governed discovery image3.png image6.png image5.png image7.png image8.png image9.jpeg image10.png image11.jpeg image18.jpeg image12.png image13.png image14.png image15.jpeg image16.jpeg image17.png image19.png image20.png image21.png image22.jpeg image23.png image24.png image25.png image26.png image27.png image28.png image29.jpeg image30.png image1.png image2.png image4.png
