Questions and Answers

Site Visit

1. Question: Is the spelling of “lite guides” correct?

Answer: No. The Performance Work Statement (PWS) is updated and the spelling is corrected from “lite guide” to “light guide.”

2. Question: Will there be a COR assigned to this contract?

Answer: Yes. The Contracting Officer Representative (COR) will be appointed post award. The

COR will be the Telecommunications Officer, Charles Stichberry.

3. Question: Will the contractor be escorted at all times?

Answer: Yes. While on the installation the contractor will be escorted to each site by a

Government representative.

4. Question: Can EMF fittings be used with compression fiber?

Answer: Yes. EMF fittings can be used.

5. Question: What is the make and model of the transceivers located at building 361?

Answer: The make is SignaMax and model is 065-1120 and only applies to CLIN 0004.

6. Question: Do you allow weekend work?

Answer: Weekend work is only allowed in the case of an emergency and requires prior COR approval.

7. Question: Will the attendance roster be distributed?

Answer: The redacted site visit attendance roster is posted as an attachment to the solicitation at SAM.gov.

8. Question: Is the Contractor required to remove the old fiber/copper once replaced?

Answer: Yes. After coordination has been made for the cutover to the new fiber the COR will let the contractor know the old fiber/copper can be removed.
