About this file

This document provides instructions for cataloging artifacts at the United States Marine Corps Museum. The contractor will catalog batches of 3,000 artifacts per year at the Museum Support Facility in Dumfries, Virginia and Building 2014 at Marine Corps Base Quantico. The artifacts include approximately 60% fine art and posters, 25% uniform items and equipment, 10% aviation-related items, and 5% flags and larger textiles. The contractor must update information in the catalog modules for nomenclature, description, measurements, location, and multimedia tabs when processing each artifact. Images must be uploaded and attached with the specified naming convention. All changes must be saved after each artifact is cataloged.
