VENDOR QUESTIONS

23-422DNR-REALT-B-35009

LOCATION: Lowden State Park

PROJECT TITLE: Lowden State Park Eternal Indian Plaza Renovation

Vendor Question 1:

Can you please provide Specific Details for the (Stone Facade Wall) item; plan sheet 7 states 65 L.F.. Looking for information about: material, base/foundation, engineering, installation, etc.

IDNR Answer 1:

The “Stone Façade “Wall” – 65 L.F.” label refers to the existing non-historic base, clad with deteriorating stone veneer, of the ‘Eternal Indian’ sculpture. This non-historic base & veneer should be removed only where it conflicts with the 3” depth of ‘Rainbow’ Peagravel or construction of the top of the stone façade wall proposed there (see Façade Wall & Retaining/Seat Wall Section at Statue [Sculpture] Base Detail 1 and Detail 2 on sheet 12 of the For Bid Construction set.

Regarding the proposed stone façade wall, Landscape Note #13 on sheet 10 of the For Bid Construction set has additional detail:

“Contractor to provide all labor and materials necessary to install a cut stone façade wall around the statue base as indicated on plan and in details. Cut stone shall be 6”H x 8”D x 18-35”L cut drywall, (with a snapped façade), light gray limestone wallstone, contractor to provide stone source, and sample for approval to IDNR [PM] prior to ordering of materials. Install as detail [see Detail 1 & 2 on sheet 12].
