About this file

This Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Form is issued by the City of Fort Myers, Florida, for a Fleet Auto Body Repair contract opportunity. The form is designed to document a contractor's good faith efforts to meet the city's 15% Minority Business Enterprise goal, requiring respondents to provide detailed information about potential MBE prime and subcontractors for the body shop repairs project.

The form provides a structured approach for contractors to demonstrate their commitment to minority business participation, including steps to record transmittal letters, document communication attempts, track quotations, and explain any non-utilization of MBE firms. Contractors must complete six distinct sections: prime contractor information, MBE contractor details, transmittal letter records, telephone/in-person visit documentation, handling of incomplete quotations, and reporting on non-utilized MBE firms. The goal is to ensure transparent and equitable subcontracting practices, with a specific focus on supporting minority-owned businesses in the procurement process.
