About this file
This document is a Notarized Affidavit for Employee Eligibility Verification System (E-Verify) from the City of Fort Myers, Florida, specifically related to a Fleet Auto Body Repair contract opportunity. The affidavit mandates that contractors and subcontractors must register with and use the E-Verify system to verify the work authorization status of all new employees. Contractors must ensure that they and their subcontractors do not employ unauthorized alien workers, and they must provide affidavits confirming compliance with immigration laws and E-Verify requirements.
The document outlines strict consequences for non-compliance, including potential termination as a vendor, disqualification from solicitation awards, denial of contract entry, or cancellation of active contracts. Contractors must maintain affidavits from subcontractors attesting to their compliance, and any challenges to termination must be filed within 20 calendar days. An E-Verify Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) must be on file with the City prior to commencing work, and failure to adhere to these requirements can result in immediate contract termination.
