About this file
This is an Addendum 1 to a Life Safety Systems Inspection, Maintenance and Monitoring Services contract between the Canaveral Port Authority (CPA) and DynaFire, covering the period from October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2023. The addendum adds CT3 (additional scope) to the existing contract for comprehensive life safety systems services across multiple CPA facilities. The original contract required the contractor to provide inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, and monitoring services for fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and intrusion detection systems. Services include quarterly and annual inspections of fire sprinkler systems, electric fire pumps, and FM-200 dry chemical systems, as well as 24/7 fire and security alarm system monitoring via wireless equipment. The contractor was required to respond to trouble calls within 60 minutes and maintain compliance with Florida Fire Protection Systems Contractor II and Alarm System Contractor I licensing requirements. The contract encompassed approximately 20 different CPA locations, including cruise terminals, parking garages, fire stations, and administrative buildings.
The contract required the contractor to self-perform all work and maintain specified insurance coverage including $1 million/$2 million commercial general liability, $300,000 commercial automobile liability, state and federal workers' compensation, and $1 million umbrella liability. No specific pricing information is disclosed in the addendum documentation. The contractor was selected through a competitive solicitation process that evaluated proposals based on methodology (25 points), experience and qualifications (45 points), and pricing (30 points). The original contract represented a comprehensive, service-oriented engagement focused on maintaining critical life safety infrastructure across CPA properties, with the addendum serving to expand or modify the scope of services under the existing agreement.
