STATEMENT OF WORK
FOR
FURNITURE RELOCATION FROM JBSA-FT SAM HOUSTON
TO BLDG 1650, PORT SAN ANTONIO
1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES/ GENERAL INFORMATION: The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, incidentals and any other items and services necessary to tear down, relocation, and reconfiguration of modular furniture, as defined in this Statement of Work (SOW) from JBSA-Ft Sam Houston, Texas to Building 1650, Port San Antonio, Texas. Prior to relocating the assets from JBSA-Ft Sam Houston, the Contractor shall tear down specified modular furniture and relocate, redesign, and repurpose the modular furniture to meet AFCEC needs on the first floor of Building 1650. The specific modular furniture to be torn down from Building 3534, 3536, and 3538 are shown in the original as-built drawings in attachments A, B, and C. Attachment D is a concept design for Building 1650 but the Contractor shall provide a floor plan that will show the reconfiguration of all modular furniture being moved to Building 1650. A government representative will approve this floor plan. Locations of existing furniture and proposed furniture locations are shown on attached floor plans. 52 feet of Vertical Wall (V-Wall) shall be torn down, removed, and disposed of by the Contractor off base.
1.1 TEARDOWN and MOVE: There are 98 workstations inside buildings 3534, 3536, and 3538, Fort Sam Houston.
a. Two workstations will move from Bldg 3534 to Bldg 3536 to create a customer service area. The remaining 38 workstations will move to Bldg 1650.
b. Four workstations will remain in the back office area of Bldg 3536. The remaining 32 workstations will move to Bldg 1650.
c. One workstation will remain in Bldg 3538. The remaining 21 workstations will move to Bldg 1650.
1.2 RECONFIGURATION: Modular workstations will be reconfigured in Buildings 3536, 3538, and 1650 in accordance with the floor plan provided by the Contractor.
a. LAN and phone service cabling is being extended to the furniture locations outlined in the drawings(s) by a third-party vendor. The Contractor shall provide all required branch power lines from the individual electrical wall outlets to the individual workstations and support space as specified. Approximately 30 feeds will need to be installed in the new location in order to accommodate the workstations. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, test equipment and all other items necessary to accomplish the work defined. Contractor shall comply with Air Force ETL 2002-12.
The Contractor will provide all labor, materials, supplies, equipment, and supervision up to completion of the removal and relocation for the above referenced project. All materials and accessories shall be installed in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer’s recommendations. The Contractor will provide standard permits and or construction permits as necessary.
2. LOCATION/ SITE DESCRIPTION: Building 3534, 3536, 3538, JBSA-Ft Sam Houston, Texas to Building 1650, Port San Antonio, Texas. On JBSA-Ft Sam Houston Building 3534, 3536, and 3538 are single-story facilities. The room(s) location is on the first floor, Building 1650, Port San Antonio, Texas. There is no loading dock available. Entrance will be coordinated through the Air Force government representative.
3. STORAGE AND PARKING: In no case is the Government responsible to store product pending installation, or to accept direct delivery of freight. Parking is within 30-meter from the facility.
4. ACCESSORIES AND INCIDENTALS: Contractor shall provide all incidentals necessary and all incidental hardware shall be installed in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations. Adhesives, fasteners, etc. shall be furnished by the Contractor.
5. PREPARATION: Contractor shall be responsible for reviewing the existing interior rooms prior to installation. The Contractor shall notify the Contracting Officer, in writing, of any conditions that will prevent satisfactory completion of work. Beginning installation means acceptance of existing site conditions.
6. QUALITY ASSURANCE: The government shall inspect all work performed by the Contractor. The customer, vendor, and a representative of the 802 CONS will check work after completion to ensure it is correct and to note any deficiencies to be corrected by the vendor.
7. BASE FIRE REGULATIONS: All work and products shall be in strict compliance with NFPA-101 or other fire codes as applicable.
8. SITE MAINTENANCE: Work areas shall be maintained in a neat, clean, safe condition and shall, at minimum, be cleaned at the end of each shift. All hallways in/adjacent to the site shall remain free of project generated trash and debris at all times. Area shall be vacuumed and dusted in accordance with furniture installation standards, at the completion of the installation. All trash, debris, refuse, garbage, etc. shall be removed from site daily.
9. COMPLETION OF WORK: The Contractor shall ensure that work for this project is performed in accordance with manufacture specification, the criteria herein, that all relevant materials, finishes, and equipment shall be fully operational at the completion of the work for this project.
