About this file
The document is a Construction Bid Addendum No. 2 issued by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB), State Facilities Administration, Design & Construction Division, for the Kavco Landfill project located at 1001 W. Day Road in Plainwell, MI. The addendum modifies the original bid documents, specifically adjusting the fencing replacement scope for the landfill. The bid opening date has been moved to July 30, 2025, at 2:00 pm EST, with a contract time of 90 days from the Notice to Proceed. The project involves fenceline grubbing, tree removal, removal and disposal of existing perimeter and remediation system fencing, and installation of new 8' and 10' chain link fencing with various gates.
The bid schedule includes multiple line items for mobilization, fencing work, gate installation, and a $25,000 provisionary allowance. Bidders are required to submit electronic bids through the SIGMA system, and the project is for the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy. A performance bond and payment bond are required for bids over $50,000, with each bid needing a five percent bid guarantee. Contractors who attended a pre-bid site inspection meeting are invited to submit questions until July 22, 2025. The fencing replacement scope has been modified based on GIS data, with estimated lineal feet for different fencing segments, and the contractor will be responsible for removing existing fencing at specified locations and installing new fencing systems.
