About this file
This document is Addendum #1 for Invitation to Bid (ITB) #WRS/250473 issued by the City of Ocala, Florida, regarding the recoating of Water Tower No. 2. The project involves exterior painting services for a water tower located at 6131 SW 80th Street, including complete sandblasting of the tower down to base metal, painting the concrete base with white paint, and applying a protective coating that meets AWWA D102 Steel Water Tank Coating Standards. The coating must be UV resistant, semigloss, in Tnemec White 00WH or equivalent, and include the Ocala logo in specific Pantone colors. Contractors must enter a single lump sum bid and will be provided a City of Ocala Master Lock key for site access.
The addendum provides detailed specifications for project execution, including site access requirements (entering through SW 80th Street gate), equipment parking between chain link fences, and contractor responsibilities for providing portable facilities and necessary utilities. The project includes strict warranty terms, with all labor and materials requiring a three-year warranty. Contractors must comply with manufacturer requirements, notify the Project Manager after each project step, and undergo inspections by City of Ocala CIP Inspectors. The City does not have original construction measurements and will not provide them, placing measurement responsibilities on the contractor. The logo specifications are precise, requiring specific Pantone colors and sizing equivalent to the existing "W" on the tower.
