This is an Addendum One document issued by the City of Ocala, Florida, for ITB# REC/260033, a resurfacing project at the Jervey Gantt Pool Deck. The addendum, dated November 18, 2025, provides clarifications and answers to bidder inquiries regarding the scope of work. The project encompasses resurfacing approximately 17,650 square feet of pool deck, breezeway, and restroom flooring with commercial-grade PVC surfacing material specified as RecDeck by RenoSys, available in 60 mil or 85 mil thickness. Key project requirements include replacing three sections of channel drain grate covers (brand NDS), addressing expansion joints in compliance with Florida commercial pool regulatory guidelines, replacing pool depth markers and associated deck markings using thermal welding, and removing and replacing deteriorated joint materials as needed. The project must be 100% complete and fully operational by May 1, 2026. A mandatory pre-bid meeting was held on November 13, 2025, at 9:30 AM at Jervey Gantt Aquatic Fun Center located at 2390 SE 36th Avenue, Ocala, Florida 34471.
The addendum establishes that the City will remove baseboards and tiles from restrooms prior to project commencement, with new baseboards to be installed by the City upon work completion. Contractors are permitted to store materials and equipment in designated on-site staging areas within the secured, fenced facility, though all items remain the contractor's responsibility. The contractor must work around non-removable fixtures including slides, umbrellas, pavilions, rails, and lifeguard chairs. All work and materials must comply with Florida Department of Health Standards for Swimming Pools and Spas, specifically paragraphs 64E-9.005(2)(a) through (g) and 64E-9.006(2)(a) of the Florida Administrative Code. A 5% bid bond is required for submission.

Solicitation Title: Resurfacing Project- Jervey Gantt Pool Deck
SECTION 1. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
1.1 QUESTION: How would the City like the Vendor to proceed with the deck drains?
ANSWER: There is a total of three sections of channel drain grate covers that need to be replaced to coordinate with the updated deck colors. Vendors should confirm measurements and deck drain cover sizes.
1.2 QUESTION: Do the expansion joints need to be replaced as part of this project?
ANSWER: If needed. Ensure all expansion joints comply with the current State of Florida commercial pool regulatory guidelines and other commercial pool industry standards.
1.3 QUESTION: Can the restroom partitions be temporarily removed or repositioned to accommodate the work being performed?
ANSWER: Yes, all restroom stall partitions can be removed as necessary.
1.4 QUESTION: Do the City have any specifications for the product you're referring to that includes built-in UV protection?
ANSWER: PVC Pool Deck Surfacing is RecDeck made by RenoSys. RecDeck is constructed of an embossed
60 mil or 85 mil thick 68″ wide x 82′ long sheet of textured, UV stabilized, thermoplastic, colorfast PVC, which is adhered down, overlapped and thermally welded together.
1.5 QUESTION: Regarding the expansion joints, tooled joints, and cut joints with sealant, will the City be specifying the exact products and materials to be used, or should the Vendors make that determination?
ANSWER: Ensure all expansion joints comply with the current State of Florida commercial pool regulatory guidelines and other commercial pool industry standards.
1.6 QUESTION: Should the Vendor plan to remove all existing material from the joints and replace it, if the current condition requires it?
ANSWER: Yes, if the existing joint material is found to be deteriorated or unsuitable, it should be fully removed and replaced to ensure proper performance to comply with current State of Florida commercial pool regulatory guidelines and other commercial pool industry standards.
1.7 QUESTION: In the men's restroom, there is a ceramic tile base trim installed along the walls, similar to a baseboard. Several of these tiles are already missing, and it's likely that additional tiles may come loose during a deep cleaning. Do the Vendor have any matching replacement tiles available? If not, what steps should be taken to source or select appropriate replacements?
ANSWER: All baseboards and tiles in the restrooms will be removed prior to the start of the project. New baseboards will be installed by the City upon completion of the work.
SECTION 2. CLARIFICATIONS
