About this file
Addendum #2, issued by the City of Ocala on June 13, 2025, provides clarifications for Invitation to Bid (ITB) #REC/250674 for Holiday Lighting Services. The addendum addresses three key questions from potential bidders regarding the project: vendor-provided lifts are permitted in Downtown Square and Citizen's Circle (with advance notification to project officials), the Panel tree specifications require a new 50' animated tree with a 3D star topper (minimum height of 38' excluding the star), and bidders can access previous year's photos through the Recreation and Parks project manager or by searching "Light Up Ocala" online.
The addendum is part of a comprehensive holiday lighting services procurement that includes detailed requirements for decoration installation, maintenance, and removal. While this specific document does not outline pricing or contract terms, the associated procurement summary indicates a three-year contract with an optional three-year renewal, covering extensive holiday decorations including 45 palm trees, pole trims, lamp pole wreaths, and a large animated panel tree. The bid is scheduled to be due on June 26, 2025, with the display period running from two weeks before Thanksgiving to the Friday before Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and potential annual price increases up to 3% contingent on CPI-U justification.
