This is a Withdrawal Notice issued by the Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs (FDVA) on April 21, 2026, pertaining to Invitation to Bid FDVA-ITB-26-008B for the Chester Sims Nurse Call System project. The solicitation sought design-build services to replace an existing analog nurse call system with a new digital Rauland nurse call system at Chester Sims State Veterans' Nursing Home in Panama City, Florida. The project scope included removal of existing Jeron analog equipment, installation of structured cabling infrastructure across three operational units serving a 400+ bed facility, staff training, waste disposal, and one annual system inspection within the first year of operation. The original solicitation schedule included a mandatory pre-bid meeting on April 15, 2026, written questions due April 17, 2026, bid submission deadline of May 6, 2026, anticipated notice of intent to award on May 14, 2026, and contract execution anticipated for May 20, 2026. The contract term was to commence upon full execution with no renewal options and required completion within 120 calendar days.

The FDVA has formally withdrawn solicitation FDVA-ITB-26-008B effective April 21, 2026, and reserves the right to reissue the solicitation at a later date under a new solicitation number. No pricing information, budget range, or award value was disclosed in the original solicitation documents, with pricing to be determined through competitive sealed bidding. The solicitation included no set-asides for disadvantaged enterprises and required contractors to maintain commercial general liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence, excess/umbrella liability of $3,000,000, workers' compensation coverage, and vehicle liability of $1,000,000. Additional requirements included Level 2 background screening for all personnel and E-Verify employment eligibility verification.
