About this file
This is an Intent to Single Source document issued by the City of Tampa's Facility Management division for HVAC Energy Management System and Building Automation System services from KMC Controls. The procurement encompasses software and hardware installation, component service, and programming and commissioning of sequences of control for municipal facilities. The document was issued on April 13, 2026, with a vendor response deadline of April 16, 2026. No specific quantities, contract term length, site visits, or bidder's meetings are detailed in the available documentation. The scope includes supporting existing KMC Controls installations that monitor environmental conditions and control equipment such as air conditioning units, boilers, pumps, valves, exhaust systems, and lighting across multiple City of Tampa facilities.
Prospective vendors must be authorized KMC Controls manufacturers, distributors, or dealers capable of providing warranty service, maintenance, and repairs for the quoted products. KMC Controls is identified as the incumbent system provider with existing installations already operational at various municipal facilities. The justification for single sourcing is based on the city's established infrastructure using KMC Controls systems across multiple departments, the need to consolidate software licensing, and the requirement to reduce parts inventory for maintenance and repair operations. The procurement documents do not specify pricing terms, set-aside designations, funding sources, contract values, or anticipated award dates. Prospective vendors are required to submit documentation confirming their authorization status as a KMC Controls distributor or dealer along with their capability to deliver the complete scope of services.
