About this file

This document is an Insurance and Bonding Requirements file for Collier County, Florida, specifically related to non-contracted services for the Tim Nance Recycling Center - Door Repairs project. The document outlines comprehensive insurance requirements for vendors, including mandatory coverage types such as Worker's Compensation (with statutory limits), Employer's Liability ($500,000 per occurrence), Commercial General Liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence, $2,000,000 aggregate), and Automobile Liability ($500,000 per occurrence). Vendors must provide certificates of insurance, name Collier County as an additional insured, and ensure all subcontractors comply with the same insurance requirements.

The insurance requirements mandate that vendors maintain specific insurance coverages throughout the duration of the agreement, with a 30-day cancellation notice requirement. Vendors must submit evidence of insurability within five days of notification of recommended award. The document also specifies that for construction projects over $200,000, performance and payment bonds must be submitted, underwritten by a surety rated "A-" or better. The insurance provisions are designed to protect Collier County from potential liabilities, requiring vendors to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the county from damages caused by negligence or wrongful conduct.
