About this file

This is an Insurance Checklist document issued by the West Sacramento Area Flood Control Agency (WSAFCA) establishing mandatory insurance requirements for contractors and vendors engaged on agency contracts. The checklist specifies required coverage types, minimum limits, and endorsement requirements that all contractors must obtain prior to contract execution. The document does not address specific services, quantities, response dates, site visits, or contract terms, as it functions as a standardized insurance compliance requirement applicable across WSAFCA contracts rather than a solicitation document for a particular project.

The insurance requirements mandate Commercial General Liability coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence/$2,000,000 aggregate, Commercial Automobile Liability of $1,000,000 per accident/$2,000,000 aggregate, and Workers' Compensation coverage per statutory requirements. Professional Liability insurance of $1,000,000 is required for professional service contracts only. All policies except Workers' Compensation must name WSAFCA as an additional insured with specific endorsements including CG 2010 1185 equivalents stating that coverage is primary and non-contributory and applies separately to each insured. Workers' Compensation policies must include a waiver of subrogation endorsement in favor of the agency, its officers, and employees. Contractors must submit a Certificate of Liability Insurance with attached Additional Insured Endorsement documentation; certificates lacking these attachments are considered incomplete.
