About this file

The document is a Five-Year Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Project Request Data Sheet from the Federal Aviation Administration and Arizona Department of Transportation for the Kingman Airport, detailing planned infrastructure improvements from fiscal years 2026 to 2030. The projects include multiple critical airport infrastructure enhancements such as apron reconstructions, runway and taxiway rehabilitations, lighting upgrades, guidance signage replacements, and navigation aid installations. Specific projects include corner apron reconstruction, runway lighting replacements for Runways 3-21 and 17-35, taxiway Delta and Taxiway A rehabilitation, and security access control system upgrades. The projects are mapped out with detailed project identifiers, total project amounts ranging from $40,000 to $5,220,000, and are categorized under federal, state, and local funding sources.

The project request data sheets indicate that most projects are categorized as Categorical Exclusion (CatEx) for environmental review, and are mapped on the airport's approved Airport Layout Plan (ALP). Funding appears to be a combination of federal, state, and local sources, with some projects specifically noting Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) funding. The projects are strategically planned to address infrastructure aging, maintenance challenges, and safety improvements, with many justifications citing pavement condition indices, equipment beyond useful life, and the need to upgrade to modern LED technologies. The comprehensive five-year plan demonstrates a systematic approach to airport infrastructure maintenance and modernization, with projects designed to preserve existing investments and enhance overall airport safety and operational efficiency.
