The certification requires offerors to acknowledge and comply with Austin City Code Section 5-4-2 regarding non-discriminatory employment practices. Offerors must check a compliance box or be deemed nonresponsive. The contractor must commit to ensuring employees and applicants are treated without discrimination based on race, creed, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, sex, or age. The policy prohibits retaliation against employees who report discrimination, sexual harassment, or other harassment and requires immediate reporting protocols to supervisors, management, or human resources. Upon contract award, the contractor shall provide the City a copy of its non-discrimination and non-retaliation policies on company letterhead conforming to the City's requirements, or this certification will serve as the contractor's policy.
