About this file

This file is an Employer Certification form for the City of Austin, Texas, related to compliance with the Wage Theft Ordinance (City of Austin Ordinance No. 20221201-031). The certification applies to the "Station Alerting Audio Parts" contract opportunity, which involves the purchase of audio components including amplifiers, speakers, mounting racks, brackets, and back-up power supplies for station alerting systems. Any employer submitting an offer for a City of Austin contract must complete this certification prior to contract award, confirming that the firm has not been adjudicated for wage theft-related incidents as defined in Austin City Code Chapter 4, Section 4-22-1(G) and (H) within the five years preceding the solicitation posting or agreement start date.

All awarded employers are required to complete the City of Austin Wage Theft Training within 30 days of contract award. By signing the certification, an authorized representative of the firm attests under penalty of perjury under Texas law that the company meets the wage theft responsibility criteria and agrees to comply with the requirements outlined in Austin City Code Sections 4-22-5(B) and 4-22-6(A). Employers with questions or requiring additional information should contact the Wage Compliance Team at wagetheft@austintexas.gov. The form was revised on September 14, 2023.
