About this file

This is a Small Business Preference Submittal form for the City of Austin, Texas, applicable to an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Powder Activated Carbon for potable water treatment. The form is optional and encourages small businesses meeting specific criteria to participate in City solicitations. Offerors are not required to complete the form to respond to the solicitation, and completion does not affect their eligibility to bid on the contract.

The City of Austin recognizes small businesses as entities holding certifications that comply with the US Small Business Administration's Small Business Size Standard. Offerors claiming small business status must provide their recognized certification details, including the certifying entity, certification name and acronym, certification number, and expiration date. The City reserves the right to request additional information to verify certification status and may contact the certifying entity directly. Misrepresentation of certification information may result in withholding of preference, disqualification from the contract, or voidance of a contract award if discovered post-award. A complete list of recognized certifications is available on the City of Austin's website at AustinTexas.gov under the Small Business Program section.
