About this file

This document provides an amendment to a solicitation for scheduled fuel barge transportation services in the Gulf region. The amendment updates the performance work statement to clarify requirements such as equipment definitions and responsibilities. The solicitation seeks proposals for transportation of Department of Defense jet fuel by tug and barge between US ports and points on the Gulf of Mexico and Lower Mississippi River. The contractor must provide owned or leased tug and barge equipment to transport fuel on a scheduled basis. The period of performance is one base year and four option years. The United States Transportation Command will award a firm-fixed price contract under a best value tradeoff selection process.
