3. No Longshoreman on the Registered List shall be bumped by any other man on the Registered List on the date of dispatch to a job.
07/01/11-06/30/15 -9- LONGSHORE/North Star/042012 North Star CBA Final
However, if same job continues into another day or past 12:00 midnight, a new dispatch shall be made by seniority.
4. Subject to the limitations hereinafter set forth, any Registered Longshoreman may bump a non-7500 casual Longshoreman. However, once assigned to employment, no Longshoreman shall be bumped by a Longshoreman of higher classification until he has an opportunity to work or be paid for at least four (4) hours after his employment commenced. If extra Longshoremen are hired other than through the dispatching office and at a time when the dispatching office is closed, the preference outlined above shall be observed.
5. Any Longshoreman who wishes a replacement after reporting for work must notify the Walking Boss or Dispatcher at least two (2) hours prior to the meal break. Failure to do so will disqualify the man for any other dispatch for the balance of that day and the following day; emergencies excepted, and will be determined by the Union. Those Longshoremen, who have been replaced, shall be ineligible to work for the balance of that day.
6. The Dispatcher shall receive two (2) hours' straight time pay for each dispatch made, when three (3) or more Longshoremen are called.
