1PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT FOR LAUNDRY AND DRY-CLEANING SERVICEPage 3/exhibit 1a method of finish (p) pressingWe do not have a press. We can hang directly out of the dryer for the items that are requested as (p) but I wanted to make this clear before you review our bid.
Answer: The statement about the “finished pressing” is ok.

We just want to make it clear: as long as the scrubs and lab coats are received in a manner that is “professional looking” and wrinkle free.

Professional looking definition: obligation to maintain a neat, clean appearance and professional military image while wearing the uniform.

2Is there an incumbent for this notice? If so, who is it? C. & L. LAUNDRY & CLEANERS INC
3What was the last awarded amount and the duration of the contract, if any? FA465922A0001 - Base plus 4 options- $250,000 maximum.
4PWSC-5, 5.10Additional fees will be applied for contaminated laundry, will you object to this?
Answer: Their statement about “contaminated laundry” is broad. The linen will be in contact with patient care. Patient fluids, liquids, specimens, medications could be present within these linen (scrubs, lab coats, bedding, ect…)

What is their definition for contaminated? This linen will be coming from a medical treatment facility which has the potential to have soiled linen which requires infection control requirements to properly disinfect this linen through temperature standards (stated in the PWS).

Hazardous/chemical/biological items which require more specialized care and disposal are managed by a separate company which specifically deal with more serious situations.

If they could elaborate more on their request that would be helpful.

5POWTechnical Exhibit 2AWhat is the protocol for bad weather or natural disasters if occurrence on the day of delivery and the drop off and or pick up is delayed? Is service expected the next business day? How should this information be communicated? Answer: The protocol for bad weather or natural disasters if they occurred on the delivery/pick up day would be for them to deliver/pick up next business day. This should be communicated preferably by phone, or if no answer, by email.
6Provisions and ClausesFundingWhen will funding be available for this contract? Are you expecting service to begin on 9/30/24 if there is no funding? We have a pending request for funding. We require funding to make contract award. It is still planned to be funded on 9/30.
