Questions and Answers, Part 3

9. Training listed in the Scope of Work (4.1.2. Security Training). Training listed in the Scope of Work (4.1.2. Security Training). Is this training available remotely?

4.1.2 Security Training has been removed from the solicitation. See HT940624R0015 Amendment 0002

10. Delivery Days:

a. Is the location open to a delivery day other than Thursday?

The Linen drop-off and pick-up is at the warehouse dock door on Wednesday and Thursday.

b. Is there a specific reason the location needs a Thursday delivery?

We suggest Wednesday and Thursday because other vendors are dropping off and picking up as well.

11. Quantities and billing model: The scope of work outlines a standard rental program (return what was used to retain a "par" level), yet the compensation listed in the CLINs reflect a weight-based model. Is this to be proposed as a standard rental program where you pay for what is being rented weekly - or flat monthly fee?

We do not own the scrubs, towels, sheets, pillowcases, or gowns, and only pay for the weight of returned items. We are invoiced weekly for retuned items.

12. Does the location always need the larger quantities on hand or are there particular periods of time when greater quantities are needed? Can the inventory fluctuate? The answer to this question will help us understand how to allocate inventory.

I do not believe that any of the locations in the building that we deliver to have a set par level and that would have to come from them. As for us our par levels are fairly well fixed as far as the rags and mop heads, the curtains and dust mop heads are as needed. However, we own both of those so that shouldn’t concern them.

13. It states: Items in Appendix B, with the exception of Bedside Screen Curtain and Dust Mops, and items in Appendix C will be provided by contractor on a rental basis as part of this contract. Does this mean each of the items in Appendix B & Appendix C will be Provided and Laundered by the contractor? Are these items to provided & laundered or just laundered?

These items are provided by and laundered by the company.

14. As looking at the QA as follows, does the entire quantity on Appendix C need to be rented out and delivered on the first day of contract? Need to know if I have to factor all quantities on the rental price.

We own the curtains and dust mop heads. All of the other items in Appendix C will need to be delivered on the first day of contract because we will have to return the others once our current contract is up.

15. How can proposals be submitted?

Please refer to Section III- Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Services-Quotation Preparation Instructions in the solicitation.
