4.1.1. Schedule—Passenger Screening Checkpoints

The following requirements apply to the checkpoint area, definitions are as follows:

TSA identifies the start of the checkpoint as the front of the x-ray machine nearest the beginning of the checkpoint screening lane. Generally, there is one 6' long table in front of the machine. For janitorial contract purposes we are establishing the start of the checkpoint at the beginning of the 6' long table. If enough space is available without entering into the airports queuing area, TSA may wish to place additional tables in front of the x-ray machine. In this case the checkpoint would begin at the beginning of the table furthest from the x-ray machine. Queuing areas and exit lanes are not included as necessary screening areas.

The end of the checkpoint will be either the composure tables at the end of the x-ray, the ETD machines, supervisors podium, or the sterile side of the glass partitions; whichever is furthest to the rear. The private screening room is not included as part of the designator as to where the checkpoint ends, though it is included as part of the checkpoint space to be cleaned.

Daily (Clean thoroughly once a day):

• Empty and remove all trash from receptacles along with any boxes or articles appropriately marked ―Trash‖ placed near trash receptacles. Insert new liners in trash receptacles (once during each shift)

• Sweep and dust mop all hard surface floors;

• Clean tables and/or countertops ensuring they are free of spills, dirt and debris;

• Vacuum under checkpoint machines/equipment; and

• Dust and clean outside surfaces (tops and sides) of checkpoint machines/equipment.

• Spot clean daily as needed

Please note: All equipment must be carefully cleaned/dusted so there is no disruption to the function and form of the checkpoint equipment (i.e., operating switches).

Weekly (Clean thoroughly weekly):

• Damp mop all hard surface floors and vacuum carpeted floors; (every other day)

• Clean glass partitions;

• Clean and disinfect all trash receptacles;

Periodic:

4.1.2 Schedule—Baggage Screening Areas

The following requirements apply to the Baggage Screening Area, definitions are as follows;

The checked baggage screening area includes:

• The actual footprint of the screening equipment and necessary area around the machines to carry out screening and alarm resolution duties.

• Additionally, for automated in-line EDS-based systems, the screening area may also include the actual footprint of:

(1) the entry and exit belts immediately adjacent to and connecting directly to the EDS screening equipment; (2) any multiplexing equipment used for the sole purpose of providing bag images to alarm resolution areas, and (3) any centralized EDS alarm resolution room/control center, if any exists.

marked ―Trash‖ placed near trash receptacles. Insert new liners in trash receptacles (once during each shift)

• Clean tables and/or countertops ensuring they are free of spills, dirt and debris;

• Vacuum under machines/equipment;

4.2 Quality Assurance Plan

The Contractor shall have in place a formal and written quality assurance plan covering all aspects of the services to be performed, and shall submit the plan to the Contracting Officer within 5 days of contract award.

The quality assurance plan, at a minimum, should include:

• Checklists, which will allow the contractor to annotate the date and time each of the required tasks is performed, as well as the name of the individual who performed them. This will allow TSA to monitor whether the task are being completed in accordance with the contract terms and conditions. Document should be signed by a TSA representative for each area that was cleaned.
