This solicitation is amended to answer technical questions as follows:
QUESTION 1: As identified on the title page of the Sol there is language that states all relevant taxes are applicable to the project as no Tax Exempt Certificate will be provided. Please confirm the project is a taxable project for materials incorporated in the repairs?
ANSWER 1: This is correct. A tax exempt number will NOT be provided under this contract.
QUESTION 2: On page 4 Section B, B.1 Scope of Construction Services: A reference is made to the contractor obtaining and providing the Boston Conservation Commission Order of Conditions for this work. In the contract specification final section the Order of Conditions for the project is attached. Please confirm what if any additional permits are the contractors responsibility as it appears the order of conditions has been obtained already.
ANSWER 2: Please note that the Order of Conditions in Appendix A of the specifications is an EXAMPLE and that Clause 52.236-7, Permits and Responsibilities, in Section I of the Solicitation states that the contractor is responsible for obtaining all permits and licenses necessary to perform the work. Specification Section 01 57 20.00 10 3.1 ENVIRONMENTAL PERMITS AND COMMITMENTS is hereby deleted and replaced with the following: “The contractor is responsible for identifying and obtaining all permits and licenses necessary to perform the work, including the Boston Conservation Commission Order of Conditions.”
QUESTION 3: Is Freshwater available to the contractor on site for their operations?

We have read the section in addendum #2 regarding the grout fill and that language does not address the 5000 psi issue.
ANSWER 4: See sheet 16, Detail A1, Void Repair Note #1.
QUESTION 5: The pipe piles to be blasted and coated under Pier #2 possess cross and diagonal pipe bracing; can the contractor remove specific sections of cross bracing to allow for blasting and painting containment and access which will be re-installed immediately upon completion?
