2.3 on site coordination

2.3.1 Contractor shall coordinate with local utilities and with the Coast Guard housing Chief as needed to perform the work.

2.4 WORK HOURS

2.4.1 The housing units involved in this project are currently occupied. The Contractor may not work outside regular Coast Guard working hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).

2.4.2 Contractor shall notify the COR at least 48 hours in advance of working in housing units to enable satisfactory arrangements to be made with the occupants. While the contractor is working in the housing units, they must be accompanied at all times by a Coast Guard representative.

2.5 Fire Prevention and Protection

2.5.1 Perform all work in a fire-safe manner. Provide and maintain adequate fire fighting equipment during the entire construction period.

2.6 Standard Specifications and Codes

2.6.1 In case of conflict between the referenced specifications or standards, and this specification, this specification shall govern. When a number is suffixed to a referenced Federal or Military specification or standard, it denotes the effective amendment(s) or change to the document. Referenced specifications and standards are not available for distribution by the Coast Guard. However, they may be viewed at the office where bids are being received.

2.7 Acceptance of Work

2.7.1 The completion of this contract will be established by a written notice of acceptance issued by the Contracting Officer.

2.8 Punch List

2.8.1 The discrepancies and Omissions list (punch list) is not an all inclusive listing of discrepancies which exist between the contract specifications and the work as performed up to the date of the list. It is also not a waiver of any other Government Claim. The Government at all times reserves all of its rights and remedies under the Contract.

2.9 Existing Utilities and Outages

2.9.1 Provide 24 hour notice of any outage of existing utility services to the housing units.

2.10 Materials and Equipment

2.10.1 The Contractor is responsible for receipt, transportation, and storage of all of his materials, equipment and tools required for the completion of the work of this contract.

2.10.2 All shipments of materials, equipment, and/or supplies by the Contractor to the project site shall be addressed to the Contractor, not the Coast Guard.

2.11 Emergency Access

2.11.1 Maintain an after-working hours contact point, and provide the COR with a telephone number, so that the Government may contact the Contractor at any time in case of emergency.

2.11.2 Seven day notice is required before embarking on any construction work which might block a roadway. The Contractor shall obtain authorization from the COR.
