2 Fathometer Transducer, Renew 34 Fathometer Transducer Renew in the attached references operators manual RDP139/148/149, this number does not cross to any Furuno manuals, an RDP‐139 was a Furuno multi‐functional display that is no longer available. In order to quote the replacement transducer we would require more specific information.
RDP 149 is the correct transducer and will be provided as Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) for incorporation during execution of the contract.
3 Flex Hose Assemblies, Renew It is calling out for a ‐18 hose. Eaton/Aeroquip does not make a ‐18 (1 1/8”) hose. Could this possibly be ‐20 or ‐16? On the steering section can you clarify the fittings described as STRx2 F? Is this by chance straight fittings, 2 of them female JIC? The C42 hose is a Pirktek Brand. Will you accept Aeroquip?
1) Hose table has been updated in REV01 of Request for Proposal (RFP) Attachment II ‐ USCGC POLAR STAR (WAGB‐10) Dry Dock Repairs FY 2018 Rev 01 to correct from a ‐18 to a ‐16 hose. This is provided via Amendment 0002 to the RFP.
2) The abbreviation STRx2 F listed in the table is correctly interpreted as 2 straight fittings that are Female JIC.
3) The Coast Guard does not have a preferred hose supplier, replacement hoses shall have equivalent characteristics as those specified in Table 1 ‐ Hose Particulars.

Para 3.4.2.3.1 calls to hydro CO2 cylinders per notes listed table 1 – all the cylinders noted ‘hydrostatically test’ have a last hydro date of 2017, normal rules for fixed system cylinders call for hydro testing every 12 years unless discharged in the interim. GFS records from 2015 inspections list 24ea 50# CO2 cylinders due for 12 year hydro October 2017. Are these the cylinders the CG wants hydro’d in 2018?
