HolidayCalendar_(2025).pdf

This is a Holiday Calendar document for 2025 establishing the City Holiday Observance Schedule, applicable to state and local contract opportunities within the jurisdiction. The calendar identifies eleven official holidays and holiday observances for the year 2025, beginning with New Year's Day on Wednesday, January 1, and concluding with Christmas Day on Thursday, December 25. Notable observances include Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, January 20; President's Day on Monday, February 17; Memorial Day on Monday, May 26; Juneteenth on Thursday, June 19; Independence Day on Friday, July 4; Labor Day on Monday, September 1; Veterans Day on Tuesday, November 11; Thanksgiving Day and the Day After Thanksgiving on Thursday and Friday, November 27 and 28; and Christmas Eve on Wednesday, December 24. This schedule serves as the official reference for holiday closures and observances applicable to government operations and contractor activities.

The Holiday Calendar functions as an administrative reference document for determining paid holidays, office closures, and work schedule adjustments for government employees and contracted service providers. The calendar is particularly relevant to ongoing contracts requiring continuous service delivery, such as janitorial and grounds maintenance services, as it establishes which days constitute holidays when normal business operations may be suspended or modified. Contractors providing seven-day-per-week services, including holiday coverage, should reference this calendar to understand baseline holiday observances for payroll, scheduling, and service delivery planning purposes within the applicable jurisdiction.
